Apple Vs. Microsoft

In a world where technology rules, the competition between Apple and Microsoft is hotting up!

The majority of businesses use technology as a way of storing records, payroll, EPOS etc. and this is where it becomes more and more difficult to choose which route to go down. Which of the two, provides you with what you are looking for, at a good price, that will survive all the advances in software updates etc. leaving you with very little to worry about?

Apple's Tablet PC the iPad, was and is the ultimate in technological advances in the last few years. Without a doubt, Apple have used their heads on this one. The iPad, for example, could easily have been brought to the market 4 or 5 years ago when the first iPhones were released, but of course, this would not have generated anywhere near the amount of sales and interest as it has done since its release in May 2010. With the recent release of the 2nd generation iPad (iPad 2), sales have again increased and Apple continue to build momentum as they gain more and more of he market share. Apple's next big release will be the ''iPhone 5'', but as per usual, very little has been said about this eagerly awaited product. Let's wait and see what happens.

As for Microsoft, their share in the market has dropped a little since Apples surge for supremacy has taken hold. Microsoft too have released touch screen PCs and mobile telephones to the market that rival Apple, more for the operating system than anything else. It's here that Microsoft begin to regain their hold. Most businesses will use Vista or Windows 7 as their operating system, as a result of most of their employees using similar at home for personal use, therefore reducing the need for training etc. I feel, that Apple's Operating System is easier to use but is a little more expensive which is another reason to stick with Microsoft.

Editing music, video, photographs is so much easier on Apple's Operating System, and the price is reflected accordingly. Also, Apple will not encounter as many problems as their rivals. Microsoft is so much more widely used that viruses etc are more common and therefore have more of an effect on PCs than Macs. Again, you do pay for this with apple, but it is worth the extra money.

Personally, I'm an Apple man. I always have been, and I probably always will be.

Apple is A-List Recommended. (It counts as one of your Five-a-day)
